Scientific Description | P53 (tumour protein 53 or TP53) regulates the cell cycle by acting as a transcription factor. It suppresses tumours and hence it is often described as "the guardian of the genome", "the guardian angel gene", or the "master watchman". This refers to its role in conserving stability by preventing genome mutation. P53 refers to its molecular mass (53 kDa) on SDS-PAGE. | ||
Storage & Stability | Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, store product at -20°C. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if stored properly. | ||
