Product Description | Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal anti-MBP antibody is developed with full length bovine myelin basic protein as the immunogen. The antibody is affinity purified with an immuno-dominant peptide (PRTPPPSQGKGRGL). The peptide sequence is identical to most isoforms of mammalian myelin basic proteins. |

Scientific Description | Myelin consists of 80% lipid fat and 20% protein. It is an electrically insulating phospholipid layer that surrounds the axons of many neurons. Myelin basic protein (MBP) is one protein responsible for myelination of the neurons of the central nervous system. |
Storage & Stability | Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C. For extended storage, store product at –20ºC. Expiration date is one year from date of shipping if properly stored. |
